I elected not to implement the green and blue feedback highlighted above; the green as the reflection does not relate directly to education but speaks to the topic in a broader sense, the blue as I felt these points were implicit based on the point highlighted in blue in my re-write (and found in the original version). I decided to add an additional reference to a journal paper on research regarding the relationship between social media use and sleep quality, anxiety and depression. The original version only contained a reference to a newspaper article detailing lawsuits made against Meta for these reasons; I feel that adding the research references adds a layer of legitimacy to the claim. Description With a broad scope of issues spanning legal, ethical, social, industrial and more, the concept of an ethical code in the digital space raises a number of difficult questions. Who should be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of such a code? Which issues do we consider to be most pertinent in the conversation? Is it even possible to establish an ethical code that all can agree on? Feelings Given the wide range of personal ethics and morals seen from person to person, I do not believe it is possible to establish an ethical code that we can all agree on.
